Return to Art Blog

Today I decided to go to the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART with a friend.  We decided to to spend most of our time in the modern and contemporary wing, which is mostly on the main level.  When all was said and done, we had actually walked the entire main level.  I wanted to go there because I was looking for an inspiration for my next piece.  I have an idea of what I want, its just getting it from my brain and onto the panels.  In this case three panels, each 18" x 24" making it a total of 24" x 54."  I thought - what a better place to start looking for inspiration.  Start with the classics, the masters, artists like Picasso, Cézanne, Pollock and so many others that I just do not have enough space to write them all.  I did however come home with some great ideas and inspiration.  This time I will be adding different media onto the the panels.  We'll see where this takes me.  I will start tomorrow.  I am very excited.
